Wendy Chamberlin Interviewed on Distrust in US-Pakistani Relationship

MEI President Ambassador Wendy Chamberlin was interviewed by Sue Pleming of Reuters about the recent anger of the Pakistani public and press about Pakistani lawmakers being tagged for special screening at an airport in Washingon, DC.  Chamberlin said that this is only a sign of a deeper mistrust because "The majority of Pakistanis distrust the United States because they believe we favor military dictators over civilian leaders and we are quick to abandon economic aid once we have achieved our security goals."  To read the entire article, please visit Reuter's website.
