With the Middle East under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, MEI's Arts and Culture Center invites arts leaders and influencers to share how they are adapting to their new realities and to discuss the role that artists can play in promoting more creative and innovative thinking in response to the pandemic. Looking, ahead, how do they feel this crisis might reshape their societies and what kind of conversations can artists and cultural influencers help lead during these challenging times?

Please join award-winning Tunisian artist and activist eL Seed, Oscar-nominated Lebanese filmmaker Nadine Labaki, and director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, Hoor Al Qasimi, for a discussion about the role of the region's creative communities in the time of Covid-19.

Moderated by Chase Robinson, the Dame Jillian Sackler Director, Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and the Freer Gallery of Art, Smithsonian Institution

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
