Shoshana Fine holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Sciences Po Paris where she is currently docteur associée. Her research engages with critical approaches to migration, security and borders. She is interested in the actors, practices and underpinning rationalities of mobility governance, with a focus on the EU and Turkey. She has also worked for the International Organisation for Migration and the International Centre for Migration and Policy Development

    The focus of this essay is on the practice of the Christianisation of refugees in Turkey. The essay shows that the politics of conversion can be interpreted as part of a struggle to be mobile and to increase resettlement prospects to the United States, the main country of resettlement for refugees in Turkey.
