His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber is the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Special Envoy for Climate, and a member of the UAE Federal Cabinet. He leads efforts to advance industrial growth, promote in-country value, and integrate advanced technologies across key sectors.

As Group CEO and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Dr. Sultan has driven a major transformation since 2016, enhancing efficiency, attracting foreign investment, and pioneering digital innovation through AI, big data, and blockchain.

A champion of clean energy, he helped establish Masdar in 2006 and continues to serve as Chairman, guiding its global sustainability mission. He led the UAE’s successful bid to host the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and has twice served as the country’s climate envoy.

Dr. Sultan also chairs the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and Emirates Development Bank, and serves on the boards of Emirates Global Aluminum and the Abu Dhabi Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs.

His global recognition includes the UN’s “Champion of the Earth” award, an honorary CBE from Queen Elizabeth II, and a lifetime achievement award from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In 2021, he was named Energy Executive of the Year by Energy Intelligence.
