W. Scott Chahanovich is currently a Fulbright Scholar in Oman undertaking a translation and research project in modern Arabic literature, with a specific interest in the Shabab literature movement in Egypt. Scott also works as a freelance translator and has recently been appointed to the editorial board of Shabab Books Publishing House in Cairo, Egypt. He will be pursuing a Masters in Middle Eastern History at St. Andrews University, Scotland.
