He was senior Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad, and co-director of the Graduate Program in Communication and Cultural Studies at National College of Arts, Lahore. His current interests include the transformation of popular Muslim imagination, and the dialogical self in Sufism and Jungian Psychology.
