Sheikha Abdulla Al-Misnad

Professor Sheikha Abdulla Al-Misnad assumed the presidency of the University of Qatar in 2003, and was appointed Minister in 2010. She is a Member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Foundation and a member of the Supreme Educational Council. At the international level, Professor Al-Misnad was selected as a member of the United Nations University Council in June 2004. President Al-Misnad received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Qatar, as well as a Diploma in Education. She was later granted the Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Durham in the United Kingdom. She was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Civil Law from Durham University in January 2008.
