Join the Middle East Institute (MEI) for a timely discussion on Israel’s strategic calculus as the conflict with Iran widens and Israeli forces advance into southern Lebanon. How does Israel see the conflict with Iran unfolding following the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei? What would constitute ideal or acceptable outcomes for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?
The conversation will feature MEI Senior Fellow Natan Sachs and Chuck Freilich, former Israeli Deputy National Security Adviser. They will examine Israeli strategic thinking, national security concerns, and the possibility of regional escalation. The discussion will be moderated by MEI Vice President for Policy Ken Pollack.
