Chris Miller

Security Fellowship Program Fellow

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Culture, Chris Miller is a former Navy SEAL officer and Middle East specialist with multiple deployments throughout the Middle East and Africa. His service culminated as a special operations liaison to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he advised U.S. and Saudi counterparts in support of multinational security initiatives and special operations development.

Following his military service, Chris joined McKinsey & Company, where he advised U.S. government and private sector organizations on topics including industrial base transformation and geopolitics. Chris is also a graduate of Middlebury College’s intensive Arabic language program and an alumnus of the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship program, and holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Today, Chris is the Director of Studies and Observations Group, an independent field research and advisory organization supporting decision-makers in conflict-affected environments across the Middle East and beyond.
