Rebekah Wharton is Editor of Digital Publications at MEI's Policy Center. She previously served as Editor and Syria Conflict Tracker for Tesla Government, Inc. (not the car company). She was formerly a Foreign Service Officer with assignments in Damascus, Jerusalem, the Multinational Force and Observers in the Sinai, and the Pol/Mil Bureau of the Department of State. She holds an MA from the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University and a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from George Washington University. She has studied Arabic, Hebrew, and some French.
