About the Initiative
The MEI Displacement and Migration Initiative brings together leading experts to highlight the perspectives of and unique challenges faced by displaced people across the MENA region. This initiative will explore many dimensions of the migrant experience, with a particular focus on the compounded challenges faced by refugees and IDPs in the face of Covid-19. The newly-launched webinar series will feature displaced people, advocates, and practitioners in conversations which will delve deeply into the ways in which displaced people navigate legal challenges, public health systems, popular uprisings, and livelihoods. These webinars will be supplemented by interviews, podcasts, and policy papers which draw from the insights of displaced people and practitioners in the region to focus on equitable solutions.
