The Middle East Institute (MEI) is proud to be a co-sponsor of FUNNY ARABS, a free comedy special presented by Rola Z Productions at the Kennedy Center on Saturday, September 9th from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Don't miss this one-night only, stand-up comedy special featuring leading Arab American comedians who explore a range of topics from the immigrant experience to displacement and belonging through comedy and laughter.

FUNNY ARABS was created by the DC-based Rola Z in March 2022 and performances have been featured on Dubai TV, WUSA9 Open Mic, DC Fray, City News Montreal, City TV, Bonne Nuit Pod and in the National. Named 'The Traumedian' by Washingtonian Magazine in 2023, Rola Z uses humor to process pain and deal with trauma and taboos.

This event is sold out.
