Turkey and the Middle East: Ambitions and Constraints

The Center for Turkish Studies at the Middle East Institute is proud to host Hugh Pope, the Turkey/Cyprus Project Director for the International Crisis Group. Pope will be discussing the forthcoming ICG background report, "Turkey and the Middle East: Ambitions and Constraints." The report focuses on Turkey's growing engagement with the Middle East within the broader framework of Turkish foreign and trade policy, and the impact of this new Ostpolitik on the region and Turkey’s relations with its Western allies.
