Brandon Gentry has nearly a decade of experience in Middle East regional political and cultural studies, threat analysis, and policy development and implementation. He has conducted work for numerous U.S. government departments and agencies, including the Department of Defense, the Marine Corps, the Department of Homeland Security, the Joint Warfare Analysis Center, the Army, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and NATO. Mr. Gentry has been involved in numerous studies, conferences, and exercises examining a variety of security-related issues, to include counterterrorism policy; military force structure; doctrine development and experimentation; border security; response to complex terrorist attacks; and technical gap analysis and needs assessments. He has published articles on the intersection of the Middle East and East Asia in The China-Eurasia Forum Quarterly and Parameters, and has been awarded the U.S. Department of State’s Superior Honor Award for work conducted in support of the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy. Mr. Gentry lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and children.
