LIFE (Lebanese International Financial Executives) is a worldwide membership organisation of Lebanese professionals based in the diaspora, funded by membership fees and by individual and corporate donors. LIFE was founded in 2009 with the aim of providing a platform to channel the influence of Lebanese executives active in fields related to finance worldwide. It currently boasts over 1000 finance professionals across 11 chapters in Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, UAE, UK and US and has a senior committee in Lebanon.
As protestors take to the streets across the country, Lebanon appears to be heading towards an economic meltdown with severe consequences for Lebanese citizens of all walks of life. We are concerned that failure to tackle current problems immediately and comprehensively could result in spiraling unemployment, uncontrollable inflation, more social unrest, civil strife and a severe deterioration in public health services and other basic resources.
