Moien Odeh

Moien Odeh is an international human rights lawyer, research and teaching assistant, and PhD student at George Mason University, Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution. While living in Jerusalem, Moien represented Palestinians in leading public interest cases in Israeli courts. Odeh has worked as a political and IHL advisor for diplomatic missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah and was the founder and manager of the legal clinic in East Jerusalem neighborhoods behind the Wall. He was also a US State Department Young Leader and participant in the State Department’s Leaders for Democracy Fellowship on the theme of conflict resolution. Odeh is a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the University of Virginia Center for Politics and Global Perspectives on Democracy, and is a member of Al Shabaka, Palestinian Policy Network, and the European Academy of Diplomacy. He is also a Young Legal Leader of the International Bar Association. Odeh holds an LLB and a BA in Accounting from the Hebrew University, and an LLM from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a commentator and author in both US and Middle Eastern media (including Al-Jazeera, Al Quds newspaper, and JURIST Legal News and Research).
