COL Sean Morrow is the Director of the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point. His career in the United States Army has spanned multiple leadership roles in operations, to include the 2003 Invasion of Iraq, the 2007-2008 Surge to Baghdad, and the 2014 Afghan elections. He most recently commanded the United Nations Command Security Battalion in Panmunjom, Korea, where he represented the United Nations Command on the Tri-Lateral Commission in talks with the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Sean was involved in over 40 direct engagements with the North Korean military and hosted the US, ROK, and DPRK Presidents/Chairman for a historic meeting in 2019.
Sean earned his PhD and MA in Political Science from the University of Chicago. He holds an MA in Irish Studies from Boston College, where he studied narratives of terrorism and political violence. Sean serves as the President of the West Point Class of 2001.
