Sharif Sokkary spent 11 years as a United States Marine Corps Officer, during which time he completed deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, supporting Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, respectively. He is currently pursuing his Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
