Tom McElwee is the Director of International Government Affairs at HP Inc. In this role, he works with international governments, U.S. federal agencies, and industry partners on a wide range of global policy issues. Prior to joining HP in 2024, Tom served for over a decade in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence officer, deploying twice to the Middle East. In 2023, he was selected as the Chief Speechwriter to the 78th Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable Carlos Del Toro. Tom completed his undergraduate studies in economics at the United States Naval Academy and holds master’s degrees from George Washington University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
