Dr. Xanthe Ackerman is a journalist with the Fuller Project for International Reporting, a bureau reporting on women in foreign policy. Dr. Ackerman has been a scholar at the United States Institute of Peace and at Brookings’ Center for Education, and she is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is founder of Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa, an international nonprofit supporting secondary school education.
