Yuri Lyashenko is an MPA candidate at the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College and a fellow at the National Democratic Institute in Washington, DC, focusing on civic participation. Holding a PhD in Political Science from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Yuri has a strong interest in geopolitical and foreign policy analysis, particularly relating to the Black Sea region and broader Eastern European affairs. Prior to managing the transformation of Kyiv public television into a major national news network as part of the Kyiv mayor’s team, Yuri built his communications expertise working in media across Ukraine, Hungary, and Poland. His diverse background in media and international relations highlights his dedication to fostering strategic dialogue and informed policy development.
