Yuri Lyashenko is an MPA candidate at the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College and a fellow at the National Democratic Institute in Washington, DC, focusing on civic participation. Holding a PhD in Political Science from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Yuri has a strong interest in geopolitical and foreign policy analysis, particularly relating to the Black Sea region and broader Eastern European affairs. Prior to managing the transformation of Kyiv public television into a major national news network as part of the Kyiv mayor’s team, Yuri built his communications expertise working in media across Ukraine, Hungary, and Poland.
