Andrew Hanna is a Non-Resident Scholar with the Strategic Technologies and Cyber Security Program at the Middle East Institute.
Mr. Hanna has previously served on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and at the United States Institute of Peace. He has also completed foreign policy fellowships at National Security Action, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy.
Mr. Hanna started his professional career as a journalist for Politico, where he wrote about transatlantic relations and NATO. His work has been published in Politico Magazine, Crooked Media, The Washington Monthly, the Wilson Center, and the Iran Primer, among other publications.
Mr. Hanna earned his Bachelor of Arts in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University summa cum laude and graduated with a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
