Betty S. Anderson is an Associate Professor of Middle East History at Boston University. Her publications include Nationalist Voices in Jordan: The Street and the State (University of Texas Press, 2005) and Proselytizing and Protest: A History of the American University of Beirut (AUB) (Forthcoming, University of Texas Press, 2011).
