Kazumi Funahashi possesses extensive business and policy research experience in Asia and the Middle East. He worked for the Heritage Foundation’s Asian Studies Center. There, he covered human rights, security, and economic issues in Southeast and East Asia. Prior to his graduate education, he worked for a Japanese consumer food trading company, managing imports and exports with companies in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. He also studied for nine months in Israel and the West Bank. He has a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
