Lina Chawaf holds a degree in Fine Arts from Damascus University. She was a TV director and an art director for several years before she founded the private radio station Arabesque FM. The station hosts a weekly talk show that deals with sensitive social issues. She also writes for the monthly magazine Shabablek, which targets young Syrians.
