Roschanack Shaery-Eisenlohr received her PhD from the University of Chicago and is currently a visiting fellow at the International Institute for the Study of Islam in the Modern World (ISIM). She is the author of Shi‘ite Lebanon: Transnational Religion and the Making of National Identities (New York: Columbia University Press, 2008).
