Sanmugam A. Prathapar is currently the Dean of the College of Agricultural and Marine Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. He received a PhD degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A & M University in 1986. Before joining SQU in 2002, he served at the University
of Technology, Sydney (2001–2002), the International Water Management Institute (1996–2001)
and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (1987–1996).
