Rodger R. Krouse is a businessman, investor, and co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Sun Capital Partners, Inc., a global private equity firm headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. He established the firm in 1995 with Marc J. Leder, whom he met while both were students at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Krouse built his expertise in investment banking at Lehman Brothers in New York City, rising to Senior Vice President and specializing in corporate finance, leveraged buyouts, and deal structuring.
Under his leadership, Sun Capital has completed investments in more than 540 companies across diverse industries, collectively generating over $50 billion in revenue and employing tens of thousands globally. The firm, known for its focus on operational improvements and turnaround strategies for underperforming and distressed businesses, has offices in Boca Raton, Los Angeles, New York, and London.
Krouse has served on the boards of several portfolio companies and, with Leder, co-founded the Sun Capital Partners Foundation in 2007, which has donated over $17 million to more than 700 charities. He also established the Krouse Family Foundation, which supports religious, educational, charitable, scientific, and literary causes, and personally backs organizations such as the National Hemophilia Foundation.
In addition to his business pursuits, Krouse has been engaged in civic and philanthropic efforts in South Florida, which include contributions to healthcare, youth development, and community nonprofits.
