Basel al-Junaidy al-Junaidy

Basel al-Junaidy is a Syrian analyst based in Turkey. He is the founder and general manager of Orient Policy Center (OPC) in Gaziantep. OPC focuses on the Syrian conflict and produces reports on military, political and civil developments. He is a nonresident fellow with Orient Research Centre (ORC) in Dubai.

Basel is also a prominent civil society activist. He is a co-founder and board member of “Kesh Malek”, a nonprofit established in 2011 in Aleppo that carries out media, human rights, and education projects.
