Denise Corsel

Denise Corsel is an Associate Tutor for the Civil Safety and Security Unit at the University of Leicester. Prior to this, Denise volunteered in Lao PDR for the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center. Additionally, she graduated from Leicester’s master’s degree in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management, for which she enthusiastically undertook primary and secondary research on flood management. Denise’s research interests vary immensely but her experience up to now is predominately in South-East Asia, where she lived most of her life. Her main ambition is to improve communities’ lives around the world, especially in relation to the hazards that are increasingly imposing themselves on humanity.
