Taymor Shah Kamrany, MBA, previously served as Advisor to the Minister of Finance of Afghanistan with oversight of eight central provinces. Taymor now resides in Orange County, California and is a manager in strategy and businesses development and Program Manager of an enterprise-wide Business Development Leadership Development Program for a Fortune 100 company. He is on the Executive Board of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business Alumni Association and a Trustee of the World Affairs Council of Orange County. Taymor hosts “Afghan Professionals Network Show” (US based weekly Afghan TV) which broadcasts worldwide.

Recent media coverage of the Afghan war questions whether we’ve made meaningful progress towards security and an effective Government in that country. Or were the past ten years a lost decade for the Afghans and Coalition partners? This ten-year milestone is a good point in time to pause, check Afghanistan’s progress, and assess where it appears to be headed. With the assistance of over 40 nations, Afghanistan developed its infrastructure and has taken major steps towards self sufficiency.
