Security Fellowship Program

The MEI Security Fellows Program aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders in Middle East security studies. The fellowship provides  exceptional individuals with opportunities for engagement with senior policymakers, mentorship from leading experts, and contribution to in-depth research. A cohort of 24 mid-career professionals are participating in this yearlong, part-time professional development fellowship centered around thematic group sessions.

Each seminar features guest speakers with senior experience across the Executive and Legislative branches of government, the civilian and military ranks of key regional US partners, the Washington think tank community, and academia. In addition to obtaining unique perspectives on leadership, policy debates, and decision-making, added emphasis is placed on building key writing and communication skills.
